Summer with Lancaster Impact!
For the remainder of the 2017 summer, the College & Career Sunday School class will be combined with youth and adults for an intergenerational study. The study is called “Christian: One of Many” and focuses on the various religions found in our community and around the world. The study, being taught by Pastor Kerry and Pastor Eddie, began mid-July and will wrap-up August 27. It is held in room 214/215 at 9:30 AM. The College & Career class will begin again on September 10 in room 240 with a new fall study. Look for more information about the fall study in the near future.
Beginning this fall, Lanc Impact!, the small group for 20-38 year olds, will meet every other Sunday for a community outing or potluck-style meal at someone’s house. Young Adult Leaders Kate Beiler and Megan Blackmon will create opportunities for young adults to build a faith community. Each gathering will be a themed potluck filled with fellowship, good food, and faith conversations – think informal and an easy thing to invite friends to! Make sure to stay connected through the Lanc Impact! Group on Facebook for event invites and updates.
How can I serve?
Young Adults are encouraged to get out and serve in our community. There will be service opportunities for Young Adults offered regularly. The first opportunity happening this fall is to serve on September 3 with Labor for Lancaster. Check out the Labor for Lancaster website for information about how to get involved or contact organizer Eddie Cameron.
Sunday August 13th, join Kate and Megan at Long’s Park at 6:30 PM for a cookout and summer concert. Come grill out, eat, fellowship, corn hole, and stick round for live music by Carolina folk band “The Steel Wheels” at 7:30 PM. Let us know what you plan to bring to share. Blankets and chairs are encouraged along a Frisbee or lawn game for added fun!
